Ingredients

Tomatoes, medium-sized
8
Garlic
4 Cloves
Onion, medium-sized

Veg broth
4 Cups
Salt
To Taste
Dried Basil, or fresh Basil
one handfull of 1 Tablespoon
Olive oil
Pepper
To Taste
Red chilli flakes
To Taste

Steps

  1. Cut tomatoes into quarters and place in a baking dish with garlic cloves. Drizzle olive oil over everything and add some salt. Roast in a 350F oven for 45 minutes to an hour.
  2. When tomatoes are almost done, chop the onion and cook with some olive oil until soft.
  3. Add tomatoes and garlic from the oven to the onions. Add veg broth, basil, and salt, pepper, and red chili flakes to your taste. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until tomatoes are tender and begin to break apart.
  4. Blend until smooth using an immersion blender (or transfer carefully to a regular blender), trying not to decorate your kitchen with tomatoey splatters.
